Unfucked Pussy / 2000

Unfucked Pussy was a feminist performance and activist duo consisting of Joanna Rytel and myself. We teamed up during a course in art and humour at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design, Stockholm. We used to hang out at some of the city’s most exclusive bars, chatting to men, often older and wealthier than we were. These encounters tended to go off the rails as the behaviour of UP didn’t live up to their expectations. These bar encounters formed the basis of texts, which we began to perform on stage during 2000. We made our successful debut at a college party. From that evening on, UP performed regularly during 2000-2002, at art events, feminist and literary parties, etc. For regular members of the audience, UP’s shows formed a series, in which stories developed week by week.
